McInnis Dog Park is an unofficial off-leash dog park. Dogs must be kept on a leash no more than six feet in length in signed areas. Owners must carry a leash for each dog at all times. Owners are responsible for picking up after their pets.
McInnis Dog Park is essentially a large athletic field where dogs can run around the perimeter. It may not be fully fenced but is described as a well-maintained outdoor park. The park offers shaded picnic tables, restrooms, accessible picnic area and restrooms and ample parking.

Field of Dogs is an outdoor fenced dog park. The park is operated by an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization and has been open since 1998. It is the only fenced dog park in San Rafael.
Field of Dogs Dog Park is a ¾ acre fenced dog park with a 4’ high chain link fence. There is a small, separate section in the back for dogs that need it, but you have to pass through the main section of the park to get to the separate section. The park is wheelchair accessible.
The park is open everyday, all day and all night.
